Innovative and unique landscape photography is often a mix of technique, concept, determination, technology and a little luck! Sure was in this case. Photographed from a “never before captured” angle with my quadcopter (drone) while I was actually standing on my deck at home in Hood River. Years later it still amazes me this is possible, and we’re just getting started. The stroke of luck was the large cruise boat cruising into the sunset at the perfect time, adding a little touch to make this a timeless image of the Gorge.
